How to transfer a compounded prescription to EpitomeRx

Switching pharmacies is simpler than most people expect. Here's what we need from you and what happens next.

If you already fill a compounded prescription somewhere else, you don't need to start over to move it to EpitomeRx. In most cases we can transfer it for you.

What we need

  • Your name, date of birth and phone number
  • The name and phone number of your current pharmacy
  • The medication name, and the prescription number if you have it

Call us at 626.631.6150 with those details. That's usually all it takes.

What happens next

  1. We contact your current pharmacy and request the transfer.
  2. A pharmacist reviews the formula to make sure we can prepare it as written.
  3. We call you to confirm pricing, payment and whether you'd like delivery or pickup.

When a transfer isn't possible

Some compounded prescriptions can't be transferred between pharmacies, and controlled substances have additional rules. If that's the case, we'll reach out to your provider for a new prescription so you don't have to.
